Lake Michigan Mailers Creates Two Mobile-Friendly Web Apps for Its Marketing Partners

Lake Michigan Mailers is proud to announce that it has created two new and exciting mobile-friendly web apps in association with their marketing partners, Notre Dame Athletics and Miller Auditorium.

The Miller Auditorium app - “In The Spotlight” can be accessed by scanning the QR code found in the Miller Auditorium event program and on posters in the Miller Auditorium lobby.  From this web app, visitors can obtain great dining deals from local restaurants, preview upcoming events at Miller, learn fun facts, and even become a ‘Friend of Miller”.

The Notre Dame app – “Get Your Game On!” can be accessed by scanning the QR code found in the Notre Dame Gameday program (please see the full page ad adjacent to the pull-out poster).  From this web app, visitors can obtain great dining deals from area restaurants, learn about the upcoming athletic events, take advantage of group discounts on tickets, read the latest sports stats, and even rent a seat cushion.

“Our web apps serve as cutting-edge examples of how we can enhance the relevance of our customer’s hard copy marketing through the use of the QR (quick response) code, “ said David C. Rhoa, president of Lake Michigan Mailers, Inc.  “Moreover, the mobile-friendly format allows our marketing partners at Miller Auditorium and Notre Dame Athletics to reach their guest in a manner their guests demand – on their mobile phones.”

Both web apps will be updated throughout the year with relevant content.  The web apps can be enjoyed from any smartphone or on any computer using either Firefox or Google Chrome web browsers at these links:

Lake Michigan Mailers Announces New Donation Request Application

Since the inception of our company in 1977, Lake Michigan Mailers has dedicated itself to building the communities in which we work and live through planned giving to a number of worthy causes.

As we have grown the number of requests we receive annually has increased to a staggering number.  In an effort to respond to such requests in an equitable and timely manner we have created a Donation Request Application.  All organizations seeking donations from Lake Michigan Mailers are asked to complete and submit it along with any additional supporting documentation.

Traditionally, Lake Michigan Mailers makes all donation decisions one year in advance of any event.  The application process begins in October of each year and decisions are normally reached by the first part of January.  Interim applications are accepted throughout the year and are reviewed on a first-come, first-served, funds availability basis.  Applications made after October must be received by Lake Michigan Mailers at least 12 weeks before the event to ensure proper processing, planning, and marketing.

Lake Michigan Mailers donates and contributes to a number of worthy causes.  However, favor tends to be given to events and organizations that support the following categories:

  • Cancer Awareness and Research
  • Feeding, Clothing, and Sheltering the Poor
  • Mentoring or Educating Youth on Entrepreneurialism
  • Issues and Advocacy Related to the Wellbeing of Children
  • Small Business Issues, Small Business Advocacy, Public Policy Issues Related to Businesses Serviced by Lake Michigan Mailers

Questions regarding the Donation Request Application, or the decision timetable should be directed to David Rhoa at 269-488-9220 or drhoa@barcodemail.com.
